12 Frame National Poly Hive Eke Sage – Collection at The Beekeeping Show Telford
The 12 Frame National Hive Poly Eke has been specifically designed with fully interlocking plastic rebates. It measures 57mm in height which will allow adequate space for fondant or varroa treatments.
Used in conjunction with existing super boxes the design and specific measurements of the eke allow you to easily convert your supers to brood boxes.
Due to the nature of the material this product may not be perfect – any scuffs or marks will not impede its use.

These are single moulded high density polystyrene hives (160g/litre) providing enhanced insulation properties and strength. They come ready painted and ready to use straight from the box.
We have also embossed the top and bottom of both the brood boxes and supers with rigid plastic.
These hives have the same exterior footprint as a Wooden National Hive.
The Brood Body and Super holds 11 Hoffman frames.

Our extractors are made from acid-proof stainless steel and fitted with an easy to use 10 speed electric control system. All extractors are fitted with a two part lid system with built in safety mechanism that stops the motor if the lid is opened whilst spinning. There is also an emergency stop button. Power supply 240V AC or 12V DC car battery.

This National mould is as durable as our deep roofed poly hive and is a single moulded high density polystyrene hive (160g/litre). It provides enhanced insulation properties and strength and comes ready painted and ready to use straight from the box. As with our original poly hive, they are also embossed on the top and bottom of both the brood boxes and supers with rigid plastic. Feeder is not included.
Sometimes there is water ingress in the runners of the boxes, because the two plastic surfaces are not watertight and plastic cannot absorb water like wood. This is normal and if found a problem can easily be rectified by smearing a good amount of Vaseline on the top of the plastic runners to create a watertight seal between boxes.
