This wax melter allows for the melting down of old combs or cappings using heat provided by the steam generator. Steam enters the tank through the hose passing through the cover. The melted wax runs out of the pipe at the bottom of the tank. A circluar grill at the bottom of the tank collects the “junk”. Frames can then be re-used with new foundation.
Not for use with plastic frames/foundation.
Honey is not recoverable from this unit. Any honey present will become mixed with the wax and water leaving the unit.
This steam boiler uses any type of solid fuel as its heating source. It has a 100 litre capacity and is made from heat galvanized sheet steel. The boiler itself is made from 2.5 mm sheet metal with cast iron stove grates which are resistant to very high temperatures.
Using the handle this boiler is cleverly designed to tip up with out the need to remove it from the stove.
Ideal for frame sterilisation, warming water for making syrup and melting wax this boiler provides an economic alternative.
