Using solar energy this wax melter effectively melts wax from frames and burr comb when it reaches its optimum melting point of 62 degrees. Comes complete with strainer grid, stainless steel and collection tray . Double glazed lid.
Stainless steel 1 litre bain-marie with whistle and lid.
This jug melts the wax in a ‘water bath’ and this prevents the wax from burning. The whistle signals that the water is boiling. The bain-marie keeps the wax liquid for a very long time.
Suitable for all types of gas, electric, ceramic and induction cookers.
This wax melter allows for the melting down of old combs or cappings using heat provided by the steam generator. Steam enters the tank through the hose passing through the cover. The melted wax runs out of the pipe at the bottom of the tank. An internal perforated basket collects the “junk”. Frames can then be re-used with new foundation.
Not for use with plastic frames/foundation.
Honey is not recoverable from this unit. Any honey present will become mixed with the wax and water leaving the unit.
Tray included.
Temperature range -49.9 to 149.9°C
Accuracy ±1°C (-19.9 to 149.9°C)
Includes CalCheck 0.0 °C function
Temperature scale Celsius/Fahrenheit
