Extracting heather honey can be challenging due to its naturally thixotropic (gel-like) consistency. The Lyson Heather Honey Loosener is specifically designed to prepare heather honey for efficient extraction by gently breaking down its structure without damaging the comb.

Manufactured entirely from high-quality stainless steel, this robust and hygienic machine features two spring-loaded needle plates that penetrate the honeycomb from both sides. Simply place a frame between the plates and operate the ergonomic lever to drive the needles into the comb. The needles gently agitate the honey, transforming it from its gel-like state into a liquid form suitable for extraction.

Once loosened, the frames can be transferred directly to a tangential honey extractor, where the honey can be extracted quickly and efficiently while preserving the integrity of the comb.
