The first of its kind on the UK market, the Abelo 12 Frame National Poly Hive offers fully rebated super and brood boxes which are designed to accommodate 12 x National frames.

The Abelo 12 Frame Poly Hive offers the same host of features included in all the poly hives we manufacture such as high density, steam moulded polystyrene (160g/l), entrance blocks with brood boxes/supers, rot proof plastic floors and integrated plastic frame runners.

Made from round wires that are accurately spaced in a metal frame, secured into a wooden frame. Single bee space.

Our rebated super boxes have an improved aesthetic look and greater ergonomic grip on two faces of the boxes. The supers have one entrance hole in the middle of the front face of the box, to give flying bees quicker access to the honey supers.

This super only works with the 12 Frame Premium National Poly Hive.

Due to the nature of the material this product may not be perfect – any scuffs or marks will not impede its use.

Galvanized steel stands. The item consists of two steel stands only. To complete the stand a separate purchase of 2 wooden beams with dimensions of 40×60 mm is required. Both stands have adjustable legs which allow for positioning of the stand. Height range 14.5cm-50cm.

Following the popularity of our National Poly Hive the new National Poly Nucleus is designed to the same high standard. Manufactured and designed by Lyson using innovative technology which allows 160g of high-density polystyrene to be cleverly moulded to include a reinforced plastic rebate. This enables the component parts of the nucleus to combine neatly together forming an interlocking system which provides a more secure fit. Feeder not included.

We have also embossed the top and bottom of both the brood boxes and supers with rigid plastic.

These hives have the same exterior footprint as a Wooden National Hive.

The Brood Body and Super holds 11 Hoffman frames.
