The first of its kind on the UK market, the Abelo 12 Frame National Poly Hive offers fully rebated super and brood boxes which are designed to accommodate 12 x National frames.
The Abelo 12 Frame Poly Hive offers the same host of features included in all the poly hives we manufacture such as high density, steam moulded polystyrene (160g/l), entrance blocks with brood boxes/supers, rot proof plastic floors and integrated plastic frame runners.

This Poly Ashforth Feeder made using the same high density polystyrene as our poly hives. This maintains the internal temperature and helps protect the bees from adverse weather conditions.
The feeder is simple to use. The bees have access to the syrup through a hole in the bottom of the feeder, enabling them to take food efficiently. The bees enter the feeder, take food and then return to the nest which promotes the efficient distribution of food in the bee colony.
10L capacity for syrup.

Our rebated brood boxes have an improved aesthetic look and a greater ergonomic grip on two faces of the boxes. They have one entrance in the middle of the front face, allowing you to perform advanced manipulations to the brood for increases or swarm control.

This clearer board is suitable for our National Poly 12 Frame Hive. A simple and effective way to clear bees from your supers. The clearing process takes approximately 12 hours. The clearer board must be placed with 8 way bee escape underneath.

12 Frame National Poly Mesh Floor
The alighting board on the floor has been shortened to allow for better storage of hives during transport and completing the slim lined, aesthetic look of the hive. This modification shouldn’t affect the bees returning journey back to the hive and still provides enough of a board for them to land on. Comes with plastic tray.
The entrance reducer is multi-functional and can be positioned as a mouse guard or a ventilated entrance block for transporting the hive.
This floor only works with the 12 Frame Premium National Poly Hive.

12 Frame National Poly Super

12 Frame National Poly Roof
PRE-ORDER – DELIVERY MARCH 2021
Our new roof sits snugly on top of the crown board, giving the entire hive a slim-lined look. It is embossed with a recessed plastic hive strap guard which runs across the middle of the roof for extra protection when strapping up hives for transport or winter. On the underside of the roof there is also a recess 20mm in from it’s circumference to provide a snug fitting onto the crown board.
This roof only works with the 12 Frame Premium National Poly Hive.

12 Frame National Poly Crown Board
There is a lip running around the circumference of the crown board which fits into the recess of the roof’s underside securing it for transport and preventing it from sliding. In the centre of the board is a moulded docking station for one of our 2.4L Ashforth feeders and a hole at one end of the dock, allowing the bees to come up from the brood box and into the feeder.There is also an additional circular hole in the centre of the dock for fondant. Comes complete with polystyrene plug and vents for both holes.
Feeder not included.
This crown board only works with the 12 Frame Premium National Poly Hive.

The plastic entrance reducer is an innovative solution that allows precise adjustment of the width of the hive inlet. This feature gives beekeepers control over the amount of space available, which is crucial in preventing food robbing from the hive. The slider has the option of two inlet widths, allowing it to be adapted to individual needs and environmental conditions.
