Mini Plus – Professional Queen Rearing Made Easy. The Abelo Mini Plus Mating Hive is a premium insulated queen rearing hive manufactured from high-density polystyrene (160 g/L) for excellent insulation, strength and durability. Featuring two queen mating compartments, reinforced plastic edges, an integrated feeder and a flexible six-frame design, it provides a practical solution for raising queens and managing small colonies.

Ready assembled and painted, the Abelo Mini Plus can be expanded with additional brood boxes, making it a versatile choice for queen rearing and overwintering suitable small colonies. Available with a choice of frame options.

Designed to hold 6 Mini Plus frames, it features reinforced plastic edges and can be stacked to expand colonies for queen rearing and overwintering. Painted.

Mini Plus Floor – Dual Entrance & Ventilation System. The Mini Plus Floor is manufactured from durable, lightweight polystyrene and designed for use with the Mini Plus hive system. Featuring two separate entrances and two screened ventilation openings, it provides effective airflow and allows two queen mating colonies to be managed independently when used with a suitable partition.

Practical, durable and ideal for queen rearing and mating nucs.

Included with the Floor:

Mini Plus Roof manufactured from high-density polystyrene (160 g/L), providing excellent thermal insulation and protection against changing weather conditions. Designed to fit the Mini Plus hive system, it helps maintain a stable temperature inside the hive, supporting small colonies during queen rearing and mating. Lightweight, durable and supplied painted, ready for use.
