National Poly Hive with Shallow Roof
If there are any issues with availability we will contact you when we process your order.
This National mould is as durable as our deep roofed poly hive and is a single moulded high density polystyrene hive (160g/litre). It provides enhanced insulation properties and strength and comes ready painted and ready to use straight from the box. As with our original poly hive, they are also embossed on the top and bottom of both the brood boxes and supers with rigid plastic. Feeder is not included.
Sometimes there is water ingress in the runners of the boxes, because the two plastic surfaces are not watertight and plastic cannot absorb water like wood. This is normal and if found a problem can easily be rectified by smearing a good amount of Vaseline on the top of the plastic runners to create a watertight seal between boxes.

In modern beekeeping, the hive is no longer just a honey factory — it is a living laboratory of natural health. The Inhalation Set for the National Poly Hive is designed for those who wish to unlock the full potential of apitherapy in their own garden.
Bee air inhalation (api-inhalation) is a natural wellness method based on breathing in hive air enriched with propolis, essential oils, and phytoncides produced by hardworking bees. This unique microclimate is valued for its supportive effects on respiratory well-being and overall vitality.
The air inside a healthy beehive contains naturally occurring aromatic compounds created by bees during their daily activity. With this inhalation set, you can benefit from this unique environment without any direct contact with the insects.

National Hive Transparent Crown Board with Temperature Gauge
National Hive - CEDAR 2nd Quality, National Hive Western Red Cedar, National Poly Hive 14 x 12 with Deep Roof, National Poly Hive with Deep Roof, National Poly Hive with Shallow RoofNational Hive Transparent Crown Board with Temperature Gauge
The transparency of the cover allows you to limit the number of inspections that may disturb the bees and disrupt the functioning of the bee colony.
Thanks to the thermometer attached to the cover, the control of your hive is simplified to the point of lifting the roof and reading the information signaling any changes inside the hive.
Placement of the monitoring crownboard can give varying readings dependant on its positioning allowing you to gauge the temperature wherever you need to.
The monitoring crown board can also be used after varroa treaments to assess the effects of your colony. The material used in the hygienic cover is completely resistant to acids used in any treatment of bees helping to maintain hygiene inside the nest.

Mini Ashforth Feeder 2.4L
This 2.4 litre box feeder is a practical and reliable solution for feeding honeybee colonies throughout the season. Its universal design makes it suitable for a wide range of hive types.
Manufactured from durable plastic, the feeder is built for long-term use and is easy to keep clean — an essential factor in maintaining good apiary hygiene and healthy colonies.
The feeder features a two-chamber design:
a larger chamber for filling with syrup or feed
a narrow access chamber that allows bees to move safely while reducing the risk of drowning
After feeding, the feeder can be washed in hot water, dried, and stored ready for the next feeding period, making it a practical and reusable piece of beekeeping equipment.
