Our WBC hive combines that traditional look with modern performance by housing an insulated polystyrene National hive inside a solid red cedar outer casing. The result is a hive that looks beautiful in the garden while offering outstanding protection for your bees.

The double-walled WBC design creates an extra barrier against wind, rain and cold, making it especially well suited to damp, exposed or windy locations. Inside, the polystyrene hive provides excellent insulation and temperature stability, helping colonies conserve energy, build up faster in spring, and overwinter more comfortably.
